Research approach

From results to explanation.

Seat counts describe representation, not the reasons people voted. To interpret electoral change responsibly, constituency results should be read alongside turnout, candidate profiles, party vote share, boundaries, survey design and field evidence. We keep official counts separate from opinion-poll estimates.

What the sector data suggests

One national growth rate, different sector experiences.

Manufacturing recorded 11.5% real GVA growth in FY 2025–26, while agriculture, livestock, forestry and fishing recorded 2.4%. This gap makes sector mix important when interpreting headline GDP growth.

The numbers describe output growth; they do not, by themselves, measure household income, job quality or the distribution of gains.

Our sports research can connect medal outcomes with training access, facilities, grassroots participation, athlete support, coaching, sports science, event economics and regional differences. Programme counts are not treated as proof of participation quality or athlete outcomes.

Polls and results are not interchangeable.

01Opinion poll

A survey of a sample before voting. Read the field dates, sample, method and margin of error.

02Exit poll

A survey of voters after they cast their ballots. It is an estimate, not the counted result.

03Declared result

04Statistical report

A structured publication that allows turnout, candidates and party performance to be examined.
